Mobile or TV is an easy way to engage the kids. HoWEVER....
Easy way always has consequences
Amarican Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry states that parents may not always know what their children are viewing, or how much time they are spending with screens. Children may be exposed to:
- Violence and risk-taking behaviors
- Videos of stunts or challenges that may inspire unsafe behavior
- Sexual content
- Negative stereotypes
- Substance use
- Cyberbullies and predators
- Advertising aimed at your child
- Misleading or inaccurate information
Too much screen time can lead to reduced outdoor/physical activity, obesity, sleep disorder, anxiety, weak eyesight which could lead to fewer score in tests / examination thereby losing confidence. Screen time decreases parent – child engagement. It affects languages and cognitive skills get stunted. Lack of imagination, behavioral issues, poor sleep, poor eating.
Mental and emotional harm: Parents have little or no control on the content streamed on mobile devices and television. The erosion of values, culture and morals is long lasting with devastating effects on future life.
We should start from the very beginning for safegaurding our children's future. Kids toys are an integral part of upbringing. Currently toys are based on fictional characters and lack any morals, values, skill based development. So, at Krishna Kids we specifically focus on value based toys and other products that can add skills.
So, where should we start??
Different kids will have different inclinations, hobbies and ways of learning. As parents and guardians, we have to find a child's likes and dislikes and accordingly, encourage and support the child to help him/her develop these skills just as a skilled potter shapes a vessel.

Make the transition gradual and smooth
